NSW Young Achievers Tour - PNG

In September 2019, I was presented with the opportunity to provide a social media presence for the NSW Young Achievers on their rugby league tour of Papua New Guinea. My role involved photographing events, games and the culture within Papua New Guinea. The position was volunteer based, paying my own way through the trip. I met with The National senior sports reporter, Jack Ami, and learned the differences in the media landscape of PNG and Australia. Players, staff and myself spent the majority of our time in Port Moresby and Popondetta, Northern Province along with a much-needed beach day at Buna visiting WWII landmarks.
